The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) updated its projections for economic activity growth for the countries of the region in 2019 and slightly reduced its estimate to the regional average to 1.3%, compared to 1; 7% expected in December 2018, when the institution launched the annual Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean, 2018. The new estimate for 2019 is influenced by the complex external scenario and the dynamics observed in the countries of the region. Read more.
