The School of Public Health (ESP/RS) is a Health Education and Research Center of the State Secretariat of Health whose mission is the management of public health education in the state, developing training, continuing education, research, extension and knowledge production, which contribute to the strengthening of the Unified Health System (SUS) and to the promotion of health and quality of life of the gaucho population.
The Vocational Education Coordination is responsible for the planning, monitoring and coordination of vocational education, in the form of vocational training, basic qualification and specialization in professional area. It is also responsible for the development of initial and continuing education, technical and continuing education programs for mid-level professionals in the various areas of health care, aiming at the formation and qualification of professionals for the SUS.
ESP/RS for its performance in the area of vocational education is one of the schools that make up the SUS Technical School Network (RETSUS).
