CPLP and UNASUR hold joint workshop on yellow fever and other arboviruses

The Seminar-Workshop Unasul/CPLP of Scientific and Technological update on Yellow Fever and Other Emerging and Re-Emerging Arboviruses happened on October 2nd and 6th, 2017 in Rio de Janeiro, with the objective of strengthening the capacity of the National Institutes of Health in services, train human resources in the prevention and control of yellow fever and other arboviruses.

The seminar was organized by the Center for International Relations in Health (CRIS,  from portuguese Centro de Relações Internacionais em Saúde) and the Coordination of Surveillance and Reference Laboratories of Oswaldo Cruz Fundation (Fiocruz) together with the Secretariat of the Networks of National Institutes of Health of the Union of South American Nations (RINS-UNASUR) and National Institutes of Public Health of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (RINSP-CPLP).

Participated in the event representatives of the technical-scientific areas, primarily from the entomology, clinical research, virology and epidemiology areas, from the National Institutes of Health and from the central levels of the respective Ministries of Health of several participating countries, including seven CPLP member states.
