The Pernambuco State School of Public Health (ESP-PE), created in 1989, has a vast track record in the area of ​​Professional Health Education and qualification courses for workers and managers of the Pernambuco Unified Health System (SUS). In view of the demands arising from the Brazilian health system and the institutional spaces linked to the State Health Departments, the institution incorporated the concept of a government school as a way of mobilizing and enhancing efforts aimed at expanding the capacity and quality of management in health. Cheers. In this sense, in 2013, through Law 15,066, ESP-PE is named Pernambuco School of Government in Public Health, expanding its activities with teaching and research activities and extension at the postgraduate level. In the same year, the school implemented the Multiprofessional Residency in Collective Health with an emphasis on Health Network Management, carried out in a decentralized manner in seven health regions in the interior of the state, in partnership with the University of Pernambuco (Campus Garanhuns).

Therefore, ESP-PE is the protagonist of the interinstitutional articulation of exchange of experience, collective debate and dissemination of knowledge, with a view to the implementation and improvement of the policy of permanent education and training of SUS workers from Pernambuco, managers and representatives. of social control.
