The University School of Health Technology was created thanks to the need to graduate qualified professionals to the Clinical Hospital, being one of the first institutions in Latin America dedicated to that. 

From the beginning as “Doctor’s assistants unit” until now – the Health Technology University School belonging to the Faculty of Medicine (Escuela Universitaria de Tecnologías Médicas - EUTM), many improvements took place currently graduating “Technologers” (“Techno” meaning “Technology” and “Logos” meaning “to think”) and Licentiates in the Health area with worldwide recognition.
