Founded 15 years ago, Medised, a Labor and Human Development Education Institution, emerged in response to a clear need of an important sector of the community and since then aims to train health assistants with a high technical, humanistic and social qualification level, according to the occupational profiles defined in Colombia, the requirements of the current health care model and focused on per-skill training.
A private institution linked to the National System of Training for Work (SNFT), one of Medised's work principles is to offer a contextualized education based on the needs, interests, skills of the student and the group in general, developed from students' knowledge and previous experiences.
Six technical courses are currently offered by Medised:
- Nursing Assistant
- Public Health
- Health Administrative Assistant
- Pharmaceutical Services Assistant
- Cosmetology and Full Esthetics
- Computer Equipment Maintenance
Among the factors that form the pillars of Medised's management, in addition to being linked to the SNFT, the following can be highlighted:
- It is an institution with several quality certifications;
- it has SENA's recognition for its programs;
- it has teaching and service covenants with important and leading service provider institutions in Bogotá;
- it conducts training practices for students as from the first cycle;
- it has an alliance with SENA for assessment-certification processes of human capital in health;
- it gathers teachers with training in Quality Management Systems and Pedagogy and focus on per-skill training.
