The Technical Professional Schools of Health (EFTS) of Angola fall within the scope of the reform of technical professional education and were created at the time of the reform of technical professional education through the Joint Executive Decree of the Ministries of Education, Health and Administration of the Territory No. 91/12, of February 29th, 2012. The EFTS have scientific, pedagogical, administrative and financial autonomy.
Through the Joint Executive Decree MED/MINSA No. 97/11, of July 21st, 12 courses were imposed by those schools. These include the areas of clinical analysis, anatomical pathology, cardiopneumology, dietetics, nursing, stomatology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, orthotics, orthoprosthesis, radiology and environmental health.
Under methodological supervision of the Ministries of Education and Health and administrative supervision of the Governments of the provinces, the EFTS offer the following courses: middle technical, promoting auxiliary professionals for middle technicians, expertise and action of continuous education for technicians.
